Topic 1 The Nature of Curriculum

Curriculum has to do with the answers to such commonplace question as "what can and should be taught to whom, when and how?". The curriculum is what to be taught in schools. The curriculum is all planning for the classroom with holistic. The definitions of curriculum is the "content" or "subject matter" of instruction. The content includes the whole range of matters in which students. As a content, as learning behavioural objectives as a plan for instruction and as a nontechnical approach. Curriculum is all the experiences that individual learners. The interpretations of curriculum is a set of performances activities such like everything that is planned by school personnel. Every curriculum plan must have the materials and activity. The educational philosophy and key features of new curriculum such like emphasizes of employalibility training, explicit teaching and implicit teaching. 

For pedagogy is the meaning for pedagogy of art, science or profession of teaching and defined as "method of teaching". The word origin for Greek word Paidagogos paid is child meanwhile Agogos is leader (slave who took child to school). Pedagogy is what actually happens when a teacher begin to teach, when he/she begin to interact with students and conduct or implement the planned instructional experiences. It also defined as the exploration of effective teaching and learning strategies. The teacher-directed instruction as it is commonly known, places the students in a submissive role requiring obediences to teachers instruction. As an effective teacher, they must know how the meaning of it and have the profound knowledge about it. So, from here the student can solve the problem and can improve their critical thinking. There have concept of "Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK)" combines the knowledge about content, learner an pedagogy to come up with a suitables teaching method for a particular content and learners.
